~commercial Real Estate~ Asheville

I just read an informative article in the Asheville Citizens-Times that will be of interest to my clients who are investors in commercial real estate in the Greater Asheville area.

Here's the gist of the article:

The Institute of Real Estate Management commissioned Karnes Research Co. to conduct twice-a-year surveys of the commercial real estate leasing market in Asheville and northern Henderson County.

Karnes issues reports intended to be a resource for anyone seeking, representing, researching or owning commercial lease space, and also offers an in-depth report of the commercial lease market. This is available by private subscription on its Web site.

The research looks at "all the major factors affecting commercial real estate, including the local economy, inventory, development activity (supply), net absorption (demand), vacancy and rental rates.... " and at submarkets for pinpoint analysis of what is happening in the Greater Asheville geographic area.

I like the fact that Karnes has surveyed the Asheville market three times in order to have enough historical perspective to start publishing its reports.

For further information, you can get your own copy of the KARNES REPORT. The fee for the Karnes Report on Asheville, analyzing the office, industrial and retail leasing market, is available at a cost of $300. To place an order visit: www.karnesresearch.com/asheville
